Annakye were back in, Point Studio, tracking their single, Ocean. The band told me they were looking for a change and this song was exactly that.
I finally got to see the band at the Everglades Country Club in, Woy Woy, and they didn’t disappoint.
The Radiators sound crew didn’t exactly help matters with an, at times, overly distorted and confusing sound. But the group rallied, and by sheer force of will, executed their set with professionalism, energy and good natured audience interaction.
I was particularly impressed by Carlos Messina on bass and, Richard Cooper, on lead guitar. They consistently hit their marks hard and precisely. Their Faithful fans got down on the floor and made a party of it.
